Position Type: Contract
Duration: 13 weeks (possibility of extension)
Shift: 5x8hr Days | 40 hrs/week

PAY PACKAGE:

  • Travel rate – $2800 gross for 40 hours
  • Local rate – $55/hr on w2

QUALIFICATIONS :

REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 2 Years of EEG Experience
  • BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Pediatric to Geriatric Experience
  • EPICexperience
  • On Call

PREFERRED (Not Required) :

  • Surgical Monitoring for Carotid Endarterectomy
  • Previous intraoperative EEG experience
  • EEG Certification
  • Trauma Level I Experience

JOB Description:

Operates electroneurodiagnostic equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain; assisting in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain; for preparation of the patient and collection of historical information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests. The technician relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish their goals; Patients may include neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

  • Performs Electroneurodiagnostic (EEG) exams and procedures in an EEG lab or intraoperative environment, according to appropriate protocols, providing analysis of disorders of the brain as required.
  • Prepares patient for procedure; collects historical information pertinent to the interpretation of the tests.
  • Prepares EEG equipment for procedure. Calibrates and adjusts equipment, ensuring that it is operational prior to procedure.
  • Maintains equipment in clean, operating condition, and notifies appropriate person/department of equipment problems
  • Demonstrate understanding of concepts, practices, and procedures within the standards of practice for an EEG lab.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvements of processes and services on an on-going basis.
  • The employee is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
  • The employee is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skill on the appropriate position skills list.
